Boyden announced that John Budriss has joined its New York office as a Partner in the firm’s Technology Practice. Mr. Budriss served most recently as Head of Talent Acquisition at Bloomberg LP and as Chief Human Resources Officer at Bloomberg’s Enterprise Division. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mr. Budriss served as Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Thomson Reuters. Earlier in his career, he was as an executive recruiter at Robert Half and Lloyd’s Search.
New York Life announced the appointment of Katherine O’Brien to its Executive Management Committee. Ms. O’Brien is chief human resources officer of New York Life. Ms. O’Brien joined New York Life in 1995 as a litigator, specializing in employment litigation and benefits compliance. She has held roles of increasing responsibility which included serving as the company’s first chief diversity officer in the Human Resources Department from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, Ms. O’Brien was elected first vice president and deputy general counsel in the Office of the General Counsel. In 2010, she was elected senior vice president and chief corporate counsel, leading all corporate practice teams in the Office of the General Counsel, including the employment and ERISA units. She was named chief human resources officer in 2013.
