Union Pacific (NYSE: UNP) named Sherrye Hutcherson vice president of Human Resources effective May 4. Hutcherson was most recently vice president of Corporate Services and chief administrative officer for Omaha Public Power District (OPPD). Prior to joining OPPD, Hutcherson was executive director of the Omaha Small Business Network, Inc. She started her career in Union Pacific’s Corporate Audit Department.
Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) announced the appointment of Michelle Sterling as executive vice president of Human Resources, and the retirement of Dan Sullivan, executive vice president of Human Resources. Sterling’s appointment will be effective May 4, 2015. Sullivan will serve in an advisory role to support the transition until his retirement at the end of the year. Sterling joined Qualcomm in 1994. In her current role, Sterling oversees HR Operations, International HR, Global Inclusion & Diversity, Employee Relations, HR Systems and Talent Analytics. Sullivan has led Qualcomm’s HR organization since joining Qualcomm in 1992, and has served as executive vice president for more than 13 years.
DJO Global, Inc. announced the appointment of Jeanine Kestler as the Company’s new Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Kestler joins DJO Global from Thermo Fisher Scientific/Life Technologies, where she most recently served as Vice President, Human Resources, Global Commercial Operations. Prior to her 6 years with Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ms. Kestler served as Vice President, Human Resources, Global Services & IT at Dell in Austin, TX. Prior to Dell, Ms. Kestler held various HR executive leadership positions over a 13-year career with NCR and AT&T.
Ayla Networks announced the appointment of Steve Ruiz as vice president of human resources. Most recently, Ruiz was senior director of human resources at Intel spinoff GainSpan Corporation. Before joining GainSpan, Ruiz was senior director of human resources at ZeroG Wireless.
GlobalLogic announced that Bonnie Helton has joined the company as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Prior to joining GlobalLogic, she was CHRO at CipherCloud. Prior to that, Helton worked with Applied Materials and Brocade Communications.
Oberg Industries announced that Joseph G. O’Brien has joined the company as Director of Human Resources. Joe O’Brien most recently served as Vice President, Human Resources and Facilities for Tollgrade Communications, Inc.
