Aetna [Hartford, CT] has named Tom Weidenkopf as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer for the company effective September 24th. Weidenkopf comes to Aetna from Aleris International, where he served as Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Communications. Prior to Aleris, Tom was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Communications for Honeywell. Earlier in his career, Tom held senior level HR positions at General Electric and PepsiCo.
Johnson Controls [MILWAUKEE] announced it has appointed Simon Davis as vice president, chief human resources officer for the company. Davis was elected as a company officer and named vice president and assistant human resources officer in May 2014. With this promotion, he succeeds Susan Davis who will continue as executive vice president driving efforts to build corporate leadership in the company’s Shanghai headquarters. Since joining Johnson Controls in 1997 in the United Kingdom, Simon Davis has held a broad range of Human Resources leadership roles across multiple business units, spending nearly 10 years in Automotive Experience in the United Kingdom and Michigan and five years as the Human Resources leader for Power Solutions. In 2011, he was appointed vice president Talent Strategy and Organizational Excellence for the corporation. Davis has most recently served as assistant human resources officer since 2014.
Ipreo [NEW YORK] announced that it has hired Ronnie West as EVP and Managing Director of Global Human Resources. West comes to Ipreo with over 15 years of HR experience, most recently as a Managing Director at Barclays. Prior to Barclays, Ronnie held a number of senior HR positions at Unilever for business divisions across Europe, Asia and North America.
Carnival Cruise Line [MIAMI, Fl.] announced that Ron L. Phillips has been appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources – Office of People and Potential. Phillips begins his new role effective October 19. Phillips most recently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer for New York Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to that he spent eight years in human resource roles at Comcast, eventually rising to the position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources. He has also served in HR roles at Ryder Transportation and McDonald’s Corporation.
McDonald’s Corporation [OAK BROOK, IL] announced that effective Oct. 1, David Fairhurst will assume the newly expanded role of corporate executive vice president, chief people officer. Fairhurst replaces Rich Floersch, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, who will retire effective Dec. 31. Fairhurst joined McDonald’s UK in 2005 as vice president of people and he was promoted to chief people officer of northern Europe in 2007. In 2011, he was appointed chief people officer of Europe. Earlier this year, he was named corporate senior vice president, international human resources and strategy.
Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE: DCI) [MINNEAPOLIS] named Sheila G. Kramer as Vice President of Human Resources (HR). Kramer will join Donaldson on October 12. Prior to joining Donaldson, Kramer was the Vice President of HR for Taylor Corporation. Additionally, she brings experience from various HR roles during her 22 years with LifeTouch Inc.
CrowdStrike Inc. [Irvine, CA] announced that Liza Cuevas joined CrowdStrike as Vice President (VP) of People. Having started her career at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), Cuevas has held senior management positions at some of the most notable technology companies such as Yahoo!
