United States Steel Corporation [PITTSBURGH] (NYSE: X) announced the appointment of Barry Melnkovic as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Previously, Melnkovic served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Capital Officer for National Railroad Passenger Corporation / Amtrak as well as serving as an Officer and member of the company’s Executive Committee.
Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc. (GLG) [NEW YORK] announced that Melinda Wolfe will join the company as Global Head of Human Resources. Since 2013, she has been the Chief Human Resources Officer of Pearson PLC, and from 2008-2013, she was Head of Human Resources at Bloomberg LP. Previously, she was Senior Vice President, Executive Talent and Chief Diversity Officer at American Express, and prior to that, held senior human resources positions at Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and Merrill Lynch.
Oakwood Worldwide [LOS ANGELES] welcomes Craig Simmons as senior vice president (SVP) and chief human resources officer (CHRO) for the global organization. Simmons was most recently CHRO for American Apparel. He has been an HR leader for the Screen Actors Guild Pension & Health Plans, Catholic Healthcare West, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Nestlé and has had his own consulting company.
