Nielsen [WILTON, Conn.] (NYSE: NLSN) named Nancy Ramsey Phillips to Chief Human Resources Officer effective January 9, 2017. Most recently Phillips was the Executive Vice President and CHRO at Broadcom Corporation in Irvine, CA prior to that company’s acquisition by Avago. Prior to Broadcom, she was with Hewlett-Packard where she led the HR organization for HP’s Enterprise Services business group. Earlier in her career, she rose through a series of HR leadership roles with General Electric and spent time as the Chief Human Resources officer at Fifth Third Bank during the economic crisis. She will succeed Mary Liz Finn who announced her retirement from Nielsen in September of 2016.
Thornton Tomasetti [New York] announced the appointment of Stephanie Kelly to the newly created position of chief human resources officer. Kelly was previously vice president at Healthfirst. She also served as chief human resources officer at Yodle, Inc. and Founder and Managing Partner of Apt Talent Partner, Inc. Other employers include Cognizant Technology Solutions, Accenture, Bank of New York and Macy’s.
Michael Baker International [PITTSBURGH] announced that Penny Mercadante, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Previously, Ms. Mercadante served as a Senior Consultant with LeadFirst. She also served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for ServiceLink. For Pitt Ohio Express she was Vice President of Human Resources.
Cantel Medical Corp. [LITTLE FALLS, N. J.] (NYSE: CMD) announced that Dottie Donnelly Brienza has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Brienza joins Cantel from Bristol-Myers Squibb where most recently she was Vice President, Global Organizational Performance. Prior to that, Dottie spent the bulk of her career in various leadership roles for almost 20 years at Johnson & Johnson, including Chief Human Resources Officer for Ethicon. She also held senior executive roles at Merck, Hilton Worldwide, and Honeywell such as SVP Global Talent Management, VP Organization Development, and Chief Diversity Officer.
Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. [CHICAGO] (NYSE: TDS) announced that Dr. Daniel J. DeWitt has been appointed senior vice president of human resources, effective January 23, 2017. He succeeds C. Theodore (Ted) Herbert, who is retiring after nearly 32 years with the Company. DeWitt most recently worked at Shields Meneley Partners as an executive psychologist. Prior to that, he has worked in his own consulting practice, and served as the vice president of human resources for HotSamba. He has held consulting roles with The Garms Group and the Center for Executive Options.
