Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK) announced that Tammy Young has joined as vice president of human resources. Prior to joining Alaska, Young served as managing director of human resources at Moss Adams LLP. Young was also director of human resources at both KPMG LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP.
Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) announced that Kevin Lord has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Lord joins Gannett from NBCUniversal, where he was executive vice president of human resources for NBC News. Lord also served as Global HR transition leader for NBCUniversal, guiding the company’s human resources transition from General Electric to Comcast ownership. Prior to his time at NBCUniversal, Lord served in a variety of senior human resources roles, including chief human resources officer for GE Plastics and senior vice president of human resources for GE Capital, Vendor Financial Services.
AppSense announced that Michelle Denman has joined the company as the Chief People Officer. Prior to joining AppSense, Denman served as Vice President of Human Resources for Trend Micro. Prior to Trend Micro, Denman was Vice President of Washington Mutual’s Commercial Division and served in various HR-related leadership roles at PeopleSoft, BEA Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Cadence Design Systems.
Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALGN) announced that it has hired Jennifer M. Erfurth as vice president of global human resources. Ms. Erfurth will assume immediate responsibility for the Company’s global human resources organization and initiatives from Len Hedge, senior vice president of business operations. As previously announced, Mr. Hedge will retire in early 2013. Prior to joining Align, Ms. Erfurth was senior vice president of shared services at Dyno Nobel. Prior to Dyno Nobel, she was vice president, human resources for Federal Signal Corporation and global senior vice president, human resources for Schawk, Inc.
OSO BioPharmaceuticals Manufacturing, LLC has appointed Alan P. Heim as vice president of human resources. Heim served for more than 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, advancing to the rank of colonel. Among his many tours of duty worldwide included a two-time assignment to the Washington, D.C.-based Joint Operations Staff functioning under then-chairman Gen. Colin Powell. Upon retiring from the Marines, Heim joined ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc. – now Valeant Pharmaceuticals – as director of organizational planning and development. In 2000, he co-founded Lathian Systems Inc. Most recently, Heim served as vice president of human resources for Directed Electronics.
