J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) announced the promotion of Brynn Evanson to executive vice president of human resources. Evanson joined jcpenney in 2009 and most recently served as vice president of compensation, benefits and talent operations. Her career spans more than 20 years in the retail industry, beginning at Marshall Field’s, where she advanced through positions in stores, finance, HR and merchandising. She transitioned to Target in 2000 and moved through a series of HR roles, becoming director of executive compensation and retirement plans.
Think Finance announced it has named Marcella Butler as its Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Butler joins Think Finance from Google, where she spent five years in a variety of directorate-level roles across corporate development, finance and people operations. Prior to that, Ms. Butler was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Pershing Square Capital Management and Chief Administration Officer for Sanford Bernstein, LLC. She has also held positions with Egon Zehner International, McKinsey & Company and Morgan Stanley & Co, Inc.
