Weight Watchers International, Inc. (NYSE: WTW) announced that Ann Hollins has been named Chief Human Resources Officer. She replaces Meredith Shepherd, who left the Company in May after 11 years with the Company. Most recently, Ann spent seven years at Hess Corporation where she held leadership positions in multiple Human Resources functional areas, including her most recent role as Vice President, Global Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Before assuming that position, she was the Vice President, Global Chief Learning and Development Officer and Vice President, Human Resources for the Marketing and Refining division. Prior to Hess, Hollins held senior roles at Tyco International, D&B Corporation and PepsiCo.
International Financial Group (“IFG”) has announced that Joel Burkowsky has joined the Executive Leadership Team of its Wholesale Insurance Group, IFGW, as Vice President and Group Head of Human Resources. Joel’s most recent experiences include five years as head of Human of Human Resources for a Food and Beverage distribution company; seven years with OneBeacon Insurance, first as Head of Compensation, Benefits and HR Systems and then as Divisional Vice President of Human Resources over their Personal Lines Division; and seven years in HR Leadership positions in the Corporate Offices of The Home Depot in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores announced the appointment of Tom Williams to senior vice president, store operations and human resources. Most recently, Williams served as senior vice president, human resources.
AppNexus announced that Michelle Dvorkin was promoted to VP, People Operations. Michelle joined AppNexus in January 2013 as Senior Director, People Management. Dvorkin was most recently Senior Director, Human Resources at Lot18. Before that, she held human resources roles at Ogilvy & Mather, AOL, Quigo Technologies and Primedia.
University of Alaska hired long-time human resources professional and adjunct professor Erik Seastedt from the State University of New York (SUNY) to serve as the UA System’s chief human resources officer. Seastedt will start the job Sept. 16, replacing interim officer Michelle Rizk, who also serves as associate vice president for budget. Seastedt is currently director of human resources and affirmative action at SUNY’s Cobleskill campus in upstate New York. Previous leadership positions have been with Great Basin College in Nevada, the University of Wyoming in Laramie and other organizations in upstate New York.
Webroot announced that Melanie Williams, formerly senior director of human relations, has been named vice president of human relations. Williams has been with Webroot more than five years, during which she has managed an increasing scope of HR responsibilities. Prior to joining Webroot, Williams held a broad range of human resource and organizational development roles with Kapalua Resort and Access Distribution, and was a co-founder of Innovative Human Resources.
