Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX) announced that Karen Magee has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Magee’s promotion is effective January 1, 2014. She has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer since January 2011. In 2010, Ms. Magee rejoined Time Warner as Senior Vice President, Administration, Shared Services. From 2006 to 2009, Ms. Magee was the Chief Executive Officer of PlanetOut Inc. Before joining PlanetOut, Ms. Magee was the Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning for Time Warner, a position she assumed in 2004. Ms. Magee joined Time Warner Corporate from Time Inc., where she was Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, beginning in 2001. She joined Time Inc. Strategic Planning from TIME magazine, where she served first as General Manager and later as Vice President of Consumer Marketing. Previously, Ms. Magee served as General Manager of Time Inc. Ventures, Director of Finance for Time Inc., General Manager of Time Inc.’s Corporate Sales and Marketing Division, and Business Manager of People magazine. Ms. Magee began her career at Time Inc. as an Analyst in Corporate Finance, after spending a year doing management information systems work at Esquire magazine.
Ilitch Holdings, Inc. announced that veteran human resources executive Michael Edicola has been named Vice President of Human Resources. Most recently, Mr. Edicola was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Clearwater Paper Corporation. Prior to Clearwater, he served in several executive human resource positions including Baxter International, and General Electric, where he spent 14 years developing his skills in a number of human resource disciplines.
Patra Corporation announced the creation of the position of Vice-President of Global Human Resources and Administration. Patra Corporation has recruited veteran human resources executive Jonathan Pyle. Pyle’s career includes 25 years with companies such as ThinkHR, Target, Pitney Bowes, Kay Jewelers and Cyberbills.
