Extreme Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXTR) announced the appointment of Kelley Steven-Waiss as senior vice president of human resources. Waiss comes to Extreme Networks from Integrated Device Technology (IDT) where she served as vice president of worldwide human resources. Prior to IDT, Kelley was vice president, worldwide human resources for PMC-Sierra. She has also held executive management and consulting positions in large global consulting firms, public software and retail companies.
Peabody Energy announced that, effective April 1, Andrew P. Slentz has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Slentz replaces Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Sharon D. Fiehler, who has been named Executive Vice President – Office of the Chief Executive Officer, in advance of her planned retirement on June 30. Slentz has been Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources at Peabody since 2010. Prior to joining Peabody in 2010, Slentz was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for People & Organization Support at Rio Tinto; Head of Human Resources for Drummond Company; and Vice President of Human Resources, Commercial Development and Shared Service for BHP Billiton.
Glatfelter (NYSE: GLT) announced that William T. Yanavitch II has been promoted to Senior Vice President Human Resources and Administration. Mr. Yanavitch joined the company in July 2000 as Vice President Human Resources.
Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH) announced that John Capps, currently EVP, General Counsel will assume the new title of Executive Vice President-Administration and General Counsel, assuming responsibilities for Human Resources coinciding with the retirement of David Tolbert, currently Senior Vice President of Human Resources, in September 2014.
Kyriba has appointed Catherine Moore as senior vice president of global human resources. Catherine has most recently worked with a number of high-profile technology brands in Silicon Valley and abroad, including Nokia, Applied Materials, and Amadeus.
Arch Coal, Inc. (NYSE: ACI) announced that John A. Ziegler, Jr. has been appointed chief commercial officer. Ziegler most recently served as vice president of human resources and previously served as president of Arch Coal Sales. He joined Arch Coal as director of internal audit in 2002. In addition, the company has appointed Allen R. Kelley to succeed Ziegler as vice president of human resources. Kelley most recently held the position of vice president of enterprise risk management and has 25 years of company service at Arch.
JD Norman Industries, Inc. announced the promotion of Elizabeth Kousiakis, currently director of human resources to the role of vice president of human resources. Kousiakis joined JD Norman from Federal Signal Corporation where she was director of human resources for the Environmental Solutions Group.
