General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) named John J. Quattrone as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources. Quattrone, currently executive director of Human Resources for Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain organizations, succeeds Melissa A. Howell who is leaving GM to pursue other interests. Quattrone began his GM career in 1975 at the Fisher Body Syracuse Plant. Since then, he has held various positions in human resources and labor relations at GM. Quattrone was appointed General Director of Human Resources for North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing in September 1996. He was appointed GM North America¹s Vice President of Human Resources in 2001 and was GM Powertrain¹s Vice President of Human Resources prior to his current assignment.
The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) announced that Timothy Massa will be promoted to group vice president, human resources and labor relations. Mr. Massa currently serves as vice president of corporate human resources, talent development. Mr. Massa joined Kroger in 2010 in his current role as vice president. Prior to joining the company, he served in various human resources leadership roles for 21 years at Procter & Gamble.
United States Cellular Corporation (NYSE: USM) announced that Deirdre Drakehas joined the company as Senior Vice President – Chief Human Resources Officer. Drake’s extensive human resources leadership experience includes successive positions with Bank of Montreal Financial Group, most recently as Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer, BMO Capital Markets. Prior to joining Bank of Montreal, she was Senior Vice President – Human Resources for ARAMARK Corporation.
Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) announced that Denise Merle’s role will expand to senior vice president, Human Resources and Investor Relations, after Kathy McAuley, vice president, Investor Relations, retires in August. Denise M. Merle has been senior vice president, Human Resources, since February 2014. She was director, Finance and Human Resources for the Lumber business since 2013. Prior to that role, she was director, Compliance & Enterprise Planning from 2009 to 2013, and director of Internal Audit from 2004 to 2009. She held various roles in the company’s paper and packaging businesses, including finance, capital planning and analysis, and business development. She joined the company in 1981.
Cancer Treatment Centers of America announced the appointment of Devin C. Carty as Chief Talent and Experience Officer. Carty was most recently the VP, Culture, Chief Marketing and Experience Officer for Vanguard Health System. Prior to his role with Vanguard, Carty was a partner with Gallup Consulting. Carty also worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as a researcher for its space program.
Clarity Solution Group announced it has hired executive leader Angela Cinefro as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Most recently, Angela served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for MedExpress. Prior to joining MedExpress, Angela held the position of Operations Vice President of Business Solutions at Hewlett-Packard. Additionally, she served as the Chief People Officer for Knightsbridge Solutions and held several HR leadership roles for IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Community Bank of the Chesapeake announced the promotions of Christy Lombardi, Executive Vice President, Director of Human Resources and Administration. Ms. Lombardi has been with Community Bank for over 15 years and has served in various roles.
Richfield Hospitality announced that Jeanne Lynch has joined the company as vice president of human resources. Most recently, she was the group vice president of human resources for Archstone Communities.
