Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) announced the appointment of Randa G. Newsome to vice president Human Resources and Global Security, effective January 1, 2015. Newsome joined the company in 2001 and was most recently vice president for Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business. Prior to her role at IDS, Newsome was vice president of Human Resources and Security for the former Raytheon Technical Services Company beginning in 2009. Newsome was also director of Organization Performance and Talent Management for Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems. Newsome will succeed Keith Peden, senior vice president human resources and global security, who will retire effective January 31, 2015.
Global Bank announced that Dr. Siobhain McCarthy has been appointed Vice President in Charge of the Human Resources Services Vice Presidency Unit. Dr. McCarthy has over 20 years of international experience in Europe, North America and Asia, in the public and private sectors. She has contributed to the growth and development of companies such as Hughes and DirecTV as well as public institutions such as the Orange County Department of Education and the University of California, Los Angeles. For almost seven years she was Managing Director, Global Attorney Development for Paul Hastings LLP, a global law firm with 19 offices worldwide.
Nutanix announced the appointment of Pranesh Anthapur as vice president of human resources and chief people officer. Most recently, Pranesh was the VP of HR at Walmart Global Commerce. Prior to Walmart Global Commerce, Pranesh held various positions in HR and operations over 13 years at Yahoo!. In addition to his roles at Walmart Global Commerce and Yahoo!, Pranesh held several global HR roles at Verifone-HP and GE Medical earlier in his career.
Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) announced the appointment of Patricia L. Lewis to senior vice president of Human Resources, effective Jan. 1, 2015. Lewis joined Lockheed Martin in 2011 as vice president, Human Resources for the Electronic Systems business area and currently serves as the vice president, Human Resources for Information Systems & Global Solutions. Before joining Lockheed Martin, Lewis served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions at IBM and DuPont.
Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: DRI) announced that Daisy Ng, Chief Human Resources Officer, will transition out of her role after more than nine years with Darden. Danielle Kirgan, currently Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Specialty Restaurant Group and Total Rewards, will assume Ms. Ng’s position effective January 5, 2015.
