The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (NASDAQ: GT) announced the appointment of John T. Lucas as the company’s new senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective February 2, 2015. Lucas will succeed Joseph B. Ruocco who announced his retirement last year. Lucas spent the past six years at Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he served as senior vice president of human resources since 2010. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Lucas spent six years at Microsoft Corporation. Earlier in his career, Lucas held executive HR positions of increasing responsibility at Eastman Kodak Company, ConAgra Foods Inc. and Merck & Company.
General Cable Corporation (NYSE: BGC) announced that Sonya Reed has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Sonya was previously the Company’s Senior Vice President, CHRO.
LMI Aerospace, Inc. (NASDAQ: LMIA) announced that Jennifer Alfaro will join the company as its Chief Human Resources Officer, effective February 2, 2015. Alfaro most recently worked for the Aerospace Solutions Division of KLX Inc., as the Vice President, Human Resources. She brings over 22 years of Human Resources experience, including 11 years in the aerospace industry from Goodrich Corporation (now part of United Technologies) in various human resource positions.
Point72 Asset Management, L.P. has named Mike Butler as head of Human Capital for the Firm. Mr. Butler joined Point72 last fall and served as Implementation Leader for organizational changes announced in October. He joined the Firm from Ensign-Bickford Industries, where he ran Human Resources. Before Point72, Mr. Butler held HR leadership roles at companies such as Toys “R” Us, Alpharma, and Cablevision. Before serving as an HR executive, Mr. Butler was a Partner at Hewitt Associates (now Aon/Hewitt). He began his career practicing corporate, healthcare, and employment law.
University of South Dakota announced that E. Lee Felder has been named vice president of human resources. Most recently Felder was director of human resources at the Bryan Independent School District in Bryan, Texas. Previously, Felder served as associate director of human resources, Mays Business School Recruitment and Retention Program Coordinator, lecturer, and Reserve Officer Training Corps Veteran Training Officer at Texas A&M University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to working for Texas A&M University, Felder spent 23 years with the Air Force as a director in human resources in various training or teaching positions at domestic and foreign locations.
Paragon Offshore plc (NYSE: PGN) announced that Julie A. Ferro has been appointed Vice President – Human Resources. Ms. Ferro was most recently Vice President – Human Resources at Endeavour International Corporation. She also spent three years as a Managing Director for a leading compensation consulting firm in Houston.
