Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC (DISYS) announced that it selected Laura Smith as Vice President of Global Human Resources. Smith joined the DISYS team in November 2014. Prior to joining DISYS, Ms. Smith was the Executive Director of Human Resources for Edelman and she has also held positions at Mercer, Foster Higgins, and PepsiCo.
Gentherm (NASDAQ-GS: THRM) announced that veteran global human resources executive Erin Ascher has been named Vice President-Talent Development and Chief Human Resources Officer. Ascher was for the past two years Chief Human Resources Officer at the University of Cincinnati. Prior to that, from 2010-2012, she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Cincinnati-based Omnicare Inc. Prior to Omnicare, from 1998-2007, Ascher worked in a variety of human resources positions for St. Paul, MN-based Ecolab. For the final two years at Ecolab she was Vice President Human Resources, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) announced that M. Amy Gilliland, vice president, Human Resources, will succeed Walter M. Oliver as General Dynamics’ senior vice president, Human Resources and Administration, when Oliver retires in March. Gilliland was staff vice president of strategic planning from 2012 to 2013. Prior to this, she was the staff vice president of investor relations from 2008 to 2012, and director of strategic planning from 2005 to 2008. Prior to joining the company in 2005, Gilliland served in the U.S. Navy.
SimCorp announced the appointment of Victoria Turk as head of Human Resources for SimCorp North America. Victoria joins SimCorp from Bloomberg, where she served as the HR Business Partner for the Research and Development Software Infrastructure Group and the CTO’s Office. She began her career at Bloomberg as a Team Leader within the analytics group and has also worked at Condé Nast Publications.
FirstService Residential appointed Lupe Mujica as the national Senior Vice President of Human Resources (HR). Ms. Mujica is a veteran of the HR industry with a career spanning more than 20 years in retail and professionals services, including tenures with Toys ‘R Us, Dayton Hudson Corporation (now Target Corporation), and Pacific Sunwear. She entered the property management industry acting as a consultant for self-managed associations for five years before joining FirstService Residential’s then California subsidiary. She was serving as Vice President of Human Resources for FirstService Residential’s West division when she was promoted and charged with overhauling corporate HR into a national structure.
