Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (NYSE: RCL) announced that Paul T. Parker has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Parker most recently served as vice president and chief human resources officer for Sabra Dipping Company. Prior to that, Parker was the senior client partner for BSG Partners. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of management positions, including chief people officer for Deloitte and vice president of human resources for Colgate Palmolive.
Intarcia Therapeutics, Inc. announced the appointment of James P. Brady as Vice President, Human Resources. Mr. Brady most recently worked at Genzyme Corporation for almost a decade, half before and half after the Sanofi acquisition. His latest position was as Senior Director & Head of Global Industrial Operations Learning & Development at Genzyme, a Sanofi Company. Prior to that, he served as Director and then Senior Director, Leadership & Organization Development at Genzyme. Before working at Genzyme, Mr. Brady worked for approximately six years at Thomson Financial. Specifically, Mr. Brady served as Director, Talent Development, and as Director, Leadership Development at Thomson Financial.
Telgian Corporation announced Steven R. Smith has joined Telgian as vice president of human resources. Smith assumes the position formerly held by Craig P. Remsburg who, after nine years with the company, remains to concentrate specifically on training, consulting and special projects. Previously, he served as director of human resources at Clean Harbors, Inc. Smith is also the author of Lessons from the Sea.
The Buffalo News announced that Joseph T. Giglia II has been named vice president of human resources and general counsel. Giglia succeeds Lawrence R. Bayerl, general counsel at The News since 2000 and vice president of human resources since 2013. Bayerl, a former Buffalo deputy police commissioner, is retiring from The News in July. Giglia was vice president of legal and operations, corporate human resources, at Catholic Health for the past five years. He joined Catholic Health in 2006 as director of legal, corporate human resources.
Matrix Medical Network announced that Ms. Jean Callahan will be joining the company as senior vice president, chief human capital officer. Most recently, Ms. Callahan served as the director of human resources and talent acquisition at Arizona Public Service. Previously, Ms. Callahan also served as senior vice president, human capital at American Realty Capital Properties/Cole Real Estate Investments. She also held human resources leadership roles at Booz | Allen | Hamilton.
H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute announced that Mariana Bugallo-Muros was selected as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Bugallo-Muros is expected to start in early June, succeeding Joanne Olson, who retired in March. Mariana Bugallo-Muros comes to Moffitt from Partners HealthCare in Boston, Massachusetts, where she served 18 years in Corporate Human Resources leadership positions, most recently as Vice President. Partners includes the Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
