Apple® [CUPERTINO, Calif.] announced that Deirdre O’Brien, vice president of Worldwide Sales and Operations, has been named vice president of People, reporting to CEO Tim Cook. Deirdre joined Apple in 1988. She will assume her new role this fall.
NIKE, Inc. [BEAVERTON, Ore.] (NYSE: NKE) announced Monique Matheson will become Nike’s EVP, Global Human Resources. Matheson will succeed David Ayre, who will retire from Nike after more than ten years leading the company’s Human Resources function. Matheson, a 19-year veteran of Nike, most recently served as VP, Chief Talent and Diversity Officer. She held roles of increasing seniority including VP and Senior Business Partner, leading Human Resources for the North America geography, Global Product Creation (Footwear, Apparel and Equipment), Global Finance and NIKE, Inc. Affiliates.

Cheryl Johnson
Caterpillar Inc. [PEORIA, Ill.] (NYSE: CAT) announced it has appointed Cheryl H. Johnson as the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Most recently, Johnson was executive vice president of human resources for Textron Inc. Prior to Textron, Johnson’s career encompassed multi-functional experience in human resources, marketing and sales, and finance within several industries and diverse business models, including Sundstrand Corporation, IBM and the Rockford, Illinois, Public Schools.

Julie Duffy
Textron Inc. [PROVIDENCE, R.I.] announced that Julie G. Duffy has been named executive vice president, Human Resources. She succeeds Cheryl H. Johnson, who has been named chief human resources officer at Caterpillar Inc. Duffy was most recently Textron’s vice president and deputy general counsel – litigation. Duffy joined Textron in 1997 as a member of the Corporate legal team and has since held litigation positions of increasing responsibility. In 2009, she was promoted to executive counsel of Textron and was named as vice president and deputy general counsel – litigation in 2011. Prior to Textron, Duffy was a commercial and employment litigation associate at Pillsbury Winthrop in Los Angeles.

Amber Kennelly
Hub International Limited [CHICAGO] announced that Amber Kennelly has joined the company as Chief Human Resources Officer. Most recently she was Vice President of compensation and benefits for Allstate Insurance Company and prior to that was Vice President of Human Resources for Esurance, which was acquired by Allstate in 2010. She started her career in financial services with Deloitte in their audit practice and at LaSalle Partners as assistant controller. She then transitioned from the financial side of business, into serving as an executive search consultant with A.T. Kearney and Slayton Search Partners before joining Allstate to build an executive talent acquisition function.
Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: NBIX) announced that Julie Cooke is joining as Chief People Officer in September 2017 and will be a member of the Management Committee. Cooke comes to Neurocrine from the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Research Institute where she served as Senior Vice President for Human Resources and was a member of the executive management team. Previously, Ms. Cooke held multiple positions at the Vice President level at Life Technologies, including being the human resource partner to the Chief Operating Officer, Division Presidents and Global Function Leads. Prior to Life Technologies, she ran human resources and was a member of the executive management team at SGX Pharmaceuticals. Ms. Cooke began her career at PepsiCo, The Pepsi Bottling Group, and Gateway, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in human resources.
Millstone Medical [FALL RIVER, Mass.] announced the addition of Janet Moy has joined as VP of Human Resources. Janet Moy previously served as Director of Human Resources at Navin Haffty and Associates. Prior to Navin Haffty Janet served as Global VP of Human Resources at Averion International.
The Mosaic Company [PLYMOUTH, Minn.] (NYSE: MOS) announced that Kimberly Bors has been named Senior Vice President–Human Resources. Bors succeeds Corrine Ricard who was recently named Senior Vice President–Commercial for Mosaic. Bors has more than 30 years of global business experience across multiple industries in both senior human resources and general management roles. In her most recent role as Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Administration (CHRO), Bors was chief human resources officer for Schneider, North America at Schneider Electric. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Bors held positions at Johnson Controls, IDEX Corporation, Brunswick Corporation, Outboard Marine, Browning-Ferris and Pennzoil.

Lauren Gullion
Penske Media Corporation (PMC) [LOS ANGELES] announced that Lauren Gullion is now the company’s vice president of human resources and corporate communications. Gullion most recently served as the company’s director of human resources and corporate communications.
