The Coca-Cola Company [ATLANTA] announced that Jennifer Mann, the company’s Chief People Officer, will take on additional duties as president, Global Ventures. In this newly created position, Mann and her team will focus on globally scaling acquisitions and brands, such as Costa Limited, which is pending acquisition, and Coca-Cola’s investment in Monster Beverage Corp. Coca-Cola plans to announce the election of a new Chief People Officer at a future date. All changes take effect Jan. 1, 2019.
BlackLine, Inc. [LOS ANGELES] (NASDAQ: BL) announced that Susan Otto has joined as the company’s first chief people officer. Otto most recently was chief human resources officer at TrueCar. Prior to TrueCar, she spent four years as chief people officer at ModCloth. Previously, Otto held senior human resource leadership positions with Electronic Arts and Medtronic.
Chef [SEATTLE] announced the appointment of Jenny Armstrong-Owen as Vice President of People. Armstrong-Owen most recently served as vice president of people, environment and culture at Impinj. She previously served as chief human resources officer at both Branded Entertainment Network and Corbis, after serving in increasingly senior roles at RealNetworks and Group Health Cooperative.
League Inc. [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Kim Tabac as Chief People Officer. Previously, Tabac served as Partner and Chief Talent Officer of Deloitte Canada. Her career has spanned a variety of industries including healthcare, retail, financial services and professional services.
Timbercon [TUALATIN, Ore.] announced its appointment of Laura McKinney as Vice President of People. Laura comes to Timbercon from the Oregon Institute of Technology, where she held the position of Vice President, and from the Oregon University System, where she held the position of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Industry Partnerships.
Blucora, Inc. [IRVING, Texas] (NASDAQ: BCOR) announced that Transient (Tran) Taylor has joined the company as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Taylor joins Blucora after nearly four years as the Chief Human Resources Officer with Mr.Cooper/Nationstar, six years as Chief People Officer at Travelocity, and three years as the Executive VP of Human Resources at Alliance Data. Taylor’s earlier experience also includes roles with Home Depot, Raytheon Telecommunications and Westinghouse.
Diversified Trust [MEMPHIS, Tenn.] announced that Cindy Cleveland has joined the firm as principal and chief talent officer. Prior to joining Diversified Trust, Cindy served as the vice president of talent management and leadership development at First Tennessee Bank. Previously, Cindy was a student affairs professional at Rhodes College and Colorado College.
Coastal Financial Corporation [EVERETT, Wash.], the bank holding company for Coastal Community Bank, recently hired Erika Heer as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Since 2012, Erika has been the Vice President of Human Resources and Executive Team Member for ABODA by RESIDE. Previously, she served seven years at Opus Bank, formerly Cascade Bank, as Assistant Vice President, Executive Support Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary. She also spent time working for Waldron & Company, the West Coast’s largest independent human resources consulting firm.
The Williams Companies, Inc. [TULSA, Okla.] (NYSE: WMB) announced that Debbie Cowan has been appointed senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective Oct. 29, 2018. Cowan is joining Williams from Koch Chemical Technology Group, LLC, a division of Koch Industries, Inc., where she served as global vice president of Human Resources. In addition, she previously served as global director of Human Resources for John Zink Company, also a division of Koch Industries. She served as manager, Human Resources for Aircraft Fueling Systems prior to her John Zink Company tenure after beginning her career in 2000 as staffing manager at Robert Half International.
NetApp [SUNNYVALE, Calif.] (NASDAQ: NTAP) announced the appointment of Debra McCowan as senior vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO) at NetApp. McCowan will be replacing Gwen McDonald, who is retiring after 14 years. Most recently, McCowan served as the executive vice president and CHRO at Equinix. She has also held executive leadership roles at Accelerance, Avago Technologies, and Hitachi Data Systems.
