Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. [BASKING RIDGE, N.J.] announced the appointment of Simon King as Chief People Officer. Simon joins Daiichi Sankyo from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was most recently the Global Head of Talent and Workforce Innovation. He was also Head of HR Global Research & Development. Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, King held several positions of increasing responsibility at AstraZeneca, including Global Head of HR for Research & Development.
Mirati Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: MRTX) announced the appointment of Jenny Gizzi as Vice President, Human Resources. Ms. Gizzi joins Mirati Therapeutics with over 20 years of experience in human resources, most recently serving as the Head of Strategy & Operations, Business Insights and Analytics at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Earlier in her career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Gizzi served as Head of Human Resources for the Bay Area and Cambridge, and Head of Global Talent for European Markets, Australia and Canada. Prior to her time at Bristol-Myers Squibb, she was Head of Global Talent Acquisition for Illumina, Inc.
AVROBIO, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] (NASDAQ: AVRO) announced the appointment of Georgette Verdin as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Verdin joins AVROBIO from the Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research (NIBR) in Cambridge MA. Verdin was also previously at Biogen Idec, and other major companies including Amazon and Microsoft.
Surterra Wellness [ATLANTA] announced the appointment of Stevens J. Sainte-Rose as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Sainte-Rose brings more than two decades of experience in international human resources roles of increasing responsibility at large, global consumer goods companies, including as CHRO at U.S. Walgreens, a division of Walgreens Boots Alliance Corporation; as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Coca-Cola International; and most recently leading HR at Dawn Foods. Prior to Dawn Foods and U.S. Walgreens, Sainte-Rose spent 10 years at Coca-Cola Company with the majority of time being with Coca-Cola International. Earlier in his career, Stevens served in field HR leadership roles at Aramark Corporation, Pier 1 Imports, Burger King Corporation and Millennium Broadway Hotel.
North Highland [ATLANTA] announced that Jennifer Mancuso has joined the firm as its new vice president of Human Resources. Most recently, Mancuso led the HR function for Vero BioTech LLC. Previously, she held commensurately senior roles for a diverse array of national and global companies.
Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS) Atlanta [ATLANTA] named Lisa Bronstein as the agency’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Bronstein joined the social services agency in 2011 as Director of Human Resources. Bronstein worked in corporate human resources positions for more than 25 years in New York, New Jersey and Atlanta.
Benson Hill Biosystems [ST. LOUIS] announced that Kelly Fischer joined the organization as Vice President of People. Fischer joins the company from Express Scripts, where she most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources Strategy, Planning and Communications.
The National Geographic Society [WASHINGTON] announced the appointment of Mara Dell to the newly created role of chief human resources officer, effective Sept. 9, 2019. Most recently, she served as chief people officer at Conservation International. Previously, she led the HR team at Women for Women International. Dell also spent six years with the Atlantic Media Company (now Atlantic Media), serving as executive director of human resources and administration. Earlier in her career, Dell worked with the Advisory Board Company and Corporate Executive Board where she served in leadership roles in human resources, events, and revenue management. She began her career at National Geographic as a production assistant in the audiovisual department.
Seaspan ULC [NORTH VANCOUVER, BC] announced that Sylvie Normandeau has joined the company as Vice President, Human Resources. Sylvie joins Seaspan from Esterline Technologies where she was Vice President, Human Resources for the Avionics Systems division. Prior to that, Sylvie was Director, Human Resources at Bombardier.
Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) [UTICA, N.Y.] announced that Wayne A. Rustin has been named Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) and Legal Counsel for Labor Relations. Rustin has been serving as Acting CHRO for the past several weeks, and joined MVHS in late 2018 as an assistant vice president in the HR department, serving as legal counsel for labor relations. Rustin has held senior HR roles at organizations like St. Vincent’s Health Services (part of Ascension Health), Comcast, IBM, J.C. Penney Company, Inc. and the City of New York.
