Xerium Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:XRM) announced the creation of the new position of Executive Vice President of Global Human Resources and the filling of that position with the hiring of Mike Bly. Mike was formerly the Vice President of Human Resources at Pliant Corporation. Mike was most recently, Vice President of Human Resources at Berry Plastics, which acquired Pliant Corporation in December 2009.
Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE) announced that Eva Sage-Gavin has been elected to the Company’s board of directors. Ms. Sage-Gavin, currently the executive vice president, global human resources and corporate affairs for Gap Inc., will also serve on Sapient’s compensation committee. Prior to joining Gap Inc., Ms. Sage-Gavin worked at Sun Microsystems and Disney Consumer Products as senior vice president, human resources. In addition, she has served in various senior human resources leadership positions for The PepsiCo Corporation, including its Taco Bell division, and for Xerox Corporation.
