Great Expressions Dental Centers [SOUTHFIELD, MI] announced the hire of Eric Magnussen as Chief Human Resources Officer. Great Expressions is a leading Dental Services Organization (DSO) comprised of 255 dental offices and 2,500 Team Members with locations in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Texas. Prior to Great Expressions, Magnussen served as Senior Vice President, Talent for Cancer Treatment Centers of America, a national network of five destination cancer hospitals and outpatient clinics where he was responsible for all aspects of the enterprise human resources strategy and operations.
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. [UNION, NJ] (NASDAQ: BBBY) announced the appointment of Lynda Markoe as Executive Vice President, Chief People & Culture Officer. Markoe will join Bed Bath & Beyond in September 2020. Since 2003, Markoe has held various leadership roles at J.Crew Group, Inc., including Chief Administrative Officer and Global Head of Human Resources. Prior to that, Markoe was a human resources leader at Gap Inc. from 1988 until 2003. Markoe succeeds Bill Gilooly.
Duke Energy [CHARLOTTE, NC] (NYSE: DUK) hired Ron Reising as senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Before assuming his current position, Reising served as Duke Energy’s senior vice president of operations support. An 18-year veteran of the company, Reising led Duke Energy’s supply chain function and served as the chief procurement officer from 2006 to 2017. Before that, he served as vice president and chief procurement officer for Cinergy since 2004. Prior to joining Cinergy, he held various senior management positions with Ameritech’s (AT&T’s) domestic and international operations, including chief financial officer of Bell Canada in Montreal and chief financial officer of Magyar Telekom. Other positions held with Ameritech included vice president of operations and business development for Ameritech Europe, vice president of finance for Telephone Industry Service, director of planning and analysis for General Business Services, and director of the corporate investment and acquisitions group.
National Equity Fund, Inc. (NEF) [CHICAGO] named Jaclyn Jackson to be its new chief human resources officer. Jackson most recently served as vice president of human resources for the Helping Hand Center. She also served for a time as interim director and acting COO. Earlier in her career, Jackson was assistant director of human resources at SOS Children’s Villages Illinois, and at the National Able Network.
Oatey Co. [CLEVELAND] announced the promotion of Dalithia Smith to Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Smith joined Oatey just over two years ago as Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to joining Oatey, she spent 10 years at Lincoln Electric, most recently as Vice President, Human Resources, Americas Welding.
Turning Point Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: TPTX) announced the appointment of Heather Adams as vice president of Human Resources. Adams joins the company from Bionano Genomics, where she served as chief administrative officer. She previously served in senior human resources positions for life sciences companies of various sizes, including Illumina, Micrus Endovascular and AngioScore. Early in her career, she was a researcher in the areas of protein chemistry, animal physiology and liver cell discovery, resulting in several publications in scientific journals.
Intelligent Waves, LLC [RESTON, VA] announced that Heidi Pirela will join the company as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. Pirela joins the Intelligent Wavesteam after serving for two years as Head of People Operations for Spaceflight Industries (SFI). Pirela has served across multiple industries including High-Tech Start-Ups, Aerospace, Defense & Intelligence, Commercial Technology, and Fortune 100 companies.
GreenPath Financial Wellness [FARMINGTON HILLS, MI] welcomed Susan Murphy as Chief People Officer. Murphy most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources, Organizational Development and Governance at United Way for Southeastern Michigan. During more than 17 years with the organization, Susan held a series of increasingly responsible positions in the areas of community impact, fund development, operations, and corporate governance, and served as a Global Resident Fellow with United Way Worldwide. Prior to joining United Way, Susan held roles in human service organizations in the areas of youth development, vocational training and rehabilitation, employment coaching, and senior services.
RingCentral, Inc. [BELMONT, CA] (NYSE: RNG) announced the appointment of Gunjan Aggarwal as Chief People Officer. Aggarwal joins RingCentral from RELX Group. Prior to joining RELX, Aggarwal held a variety of leadership positions at Ericsson, where she spent five years, including vice president of people and culture. Aggarwal also served as vice president and head of HR for North America at Ericsson. Before joining Ericsson, Aggarwal held various positions at leading companies including Novartis and Unilever.
