Qualcomm Incorporated [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: QCOM) announced the appointment of Heather Ace as executive vice president of human resources. Michelle Sterling, executive vice president of human resources who has worked at Qualcomm for 25 years, is retiring. Ace served most recently as the chief human resources officer at Dexcom. Prior to Dexcom, Ace served as the EVP of global HR at Orexigen Therapeutics, the Business Integration Leader for Royal Philips’ HealthTech acquisition of Volcano Corporation, the EVP of global HR at Volcano Corporation, and held various HR executive roles at Life Technologies. Heather was also a partner at Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich (now DLA Piper).
PPT Solutions [TULSA, Okla.] announced the addition of Kathryn L. Martin as Vice President of Human Resources and General Counsel. Most recently, Martin was Director of Human Resources for Limco Airepair. Earlier in her career, she served in key leadership positions that included tenures at Applied-Cleveland Holdings, Miratech Group and Precision Castparts Corporation.
MAXIMUS [RESTON, Va.] (NYSE: MMS) announced that Michelle Link joined MAXIMUS as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Before joining MAXIMUS, Link was the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at ADS, Inc. Link replaces Rebecca Kenawell who was acting Chief of Human Resources over the past seven months.
Collective Health [SAN FRANCISCO] appointed Abbie Buck as its new Chief People Officer. Most recently, Buck was VP of Human Resources at Splunk. Previously, Abbie held senior HR roles at PayPal, eBay, and IBM.
Root Inc. [COLUMBUS, Ohio] the parent company of Root Insurance, announced that Annette Reavis joined the company as its first Chief People Officer. Reavis joined after spending a decade at Facebook, serving as a strategic HR leader for Facebook’s product, marketing, growth/integrity, community operations, and partnerships organizations.
TapClicks [SAN JOSE, Calif.] announced that Marielle Smith has joined as Vice President of People Success. Before joining TapClicks, Smith was the VP, People and Culture, at Science Exchange, and held other leadership HR roles at companies like GoodHire, Apigee and News Digital Media (Newscorp).
