First Solar, Inc. [TEMPE, Ariz.] (NASDAQ: FSLR) announced that Caroline Stockdale will lead the Company’s human resources and communications function. She replaces Chris Bueter, who will continue in an advisory role until his retirement on April 1, 2020. Stockdale most recently served as the CEO for First Perform. She served as chief human resources officer for Medtronic and Warner Music Group among others, and as the senior human resources leader in global divisions of American Express and General Electric.
UiPath [NEW YORK] announced that Mandy Sebel has been promoted to Chief People Officer (CPO), effective January 31, 2020. Marius Istrate, previously CPO for UiPath, will be leaving the company to pursue new opportunities as an entrepreneur and advisor in HR innovation. Sebel previously work with organizations such as CAN Capital and Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. While at Dun & Bradstreet.
GitLab [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Sung Hae Kim to Chief People Officer. Kim was Chief People Officer (CPO) at Wizeline, after serving as Head of People Operations for Pivotal Cloud Foundry. She also spent a good part of her career in the Asia Pacific region working for VMware and HP.
Amylyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] announced the appointment of Debra Canner as the company’s first Global Head of Human Resources. Prior to her CHRO roles at Akamai Technologies, Joslin Diabetes Center and Haemonetics Corporation, Deb was part of Genzyme, now a fully owned subsidiary of Sanofi, and rose to become the number two HR leader there during a period of significant growth. Since 2013, Deb has been a human resources consultant to leaders of public and private small and emerging growth life science companies with a focus on HR leadership across all areas of Human Resources. Past clients include: Gen9 Bio, CeQur, Joslin Diabetes Center, Juniper Pharmaceuticals, Navitor Pharmaceuticals, and CANbridge Pharmaceuticals.
Vesta [LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.] hired Laura Stepp to serve as chief people officer. Stepp joins Vesta from Jama Software, where she was the vice president of people and workplace. Previously, she served as the vice president of people and human resources with Puppet. Additionally, Stepp’s experience spans leadership and organization development roles with Intel, Nike and Mentor Graphics Corp.
SportClips [Georgetown, Texas] appointed Kathy Schaff as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Schaff comes to SportClips from CTI Foods where she was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer.
