Miriam Ort
C&S Wholesale Grocers [Keene, N.H.] announced that Miriam Ort will become the next Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective December 2, 2019. She succeeds CHRO, Asad Husain, who is retiring as of December 31, 2019. Since 2017, Miriam has been Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Americas at Avis Budget Group. Prior to this, she held positions of increasing responsibility at PepsiCo and Avon Products.
Sompo International Holdings Ltd. [PEMBROKE, Bermuda] announced that Harriet Harty has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Sompo International’s Commercial P&C operations. Harriet joins Sompo International with over 23 years of Human Resources experience, most recently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer for Allstate Insurance Company.

Dan Best
The Service Companies, Inc. [Miramar, FL] announced the appointment of Dan Best as Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to joining The Service Companies, Mr. Best spent nearly 7 years with AutoNation. Prior to AutoNation, Mr. Best held Human Resources leadership roles with Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
SugarCRM Inc. [CUPERTINO, Calif.] announced the addition of Shana Sweeney as Chief Human Resources Officer.Sweeney joined SugarCRM in 2015 as Director of Human Resources. In 2019, she was promoted to the VP level. Sweeney spent four years in the co-founder role at Nuna prior to coming to Sugar and was the Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Xactly. In addition, she has worked in compensation and benefit positions at Google and Severn Trent Services.

David Hanrahan
Eventbrite [SAN FRANCISCO] welcomed David Hanrahan as Chief Human Resources Officer. Hanrahan joins Eventbrite from Niantic where he was VP, People and Places. Prior to this, he served as VP, People at Zendesk, and Director, Human Resources at Twitter. Hanrahan has worked at companies including Electronic Arts and Universal Pictures, and mentors human capital start-ups as an advisor with People Tech Partners.
Edward Jones [ST. LOUIS] announced that Kristin Johnson, a 24-year veteran of the firm, was named chief human resources officer. Over the past six months, Johnson and Brian Ashworth, another firm principal, co-led the HR division. Ashworth will continue to serve in a senior leadership role in the firm’s HR division. Johnson held leadership roles in internal audit, service, operations and talent acquisition and performance for the firm’s branch office administrators. Johnson replaces Anthony McBride, who retired in April. Johnson joined Edward Jones in 1995 as a member of the Internal Audit department and relocated to the Operations division five years later. She was named a principal in 2006.

Kevin Langford
ExpressJet Airlines, [ATLANTA] a United Express carrier, welcomed Kevin Langford as Vice President of the company’s Human Resources division. Langford joins ExpressJet with 18 years of progressive Human Resources and Labor Relations experience in both corporate and field locations, primarily in the oil and gas and manufacturing industries.
InterDigital, Inc. [WILMINGTON, Del.] (NASDAQ: IDCC) announced the appointment of Melissa Leneis as Chief Human Resources Officer. Leneis joined InterDigital in September 2018 as Vice President, HR Business Partner. Prior to joining InterDigital, Melissa was a Senior Director, Senior HR Business Partner with Johnson Controls and formerly with Tyco International. Her previous experience also includes positions with MEI, Inc. (formerly Mars) and Lockheed Martin Corporation.

Amy Roy
Namely [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Amy Roy as chief people officer. Roy joins Namely most recently from Ceridian, where she held the title of vice president of people strategy.
Relay Therapeutics [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] announced the appointment of Andy Porter as executive vice president and chief people experience officer. Prior to Relay Therapeutics, Mr. Porter served for more than five years as the chief people officer at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Before that, he was vice president of human resources and organizational development at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, held roles at Dyax Corp. and held roles in human resources at Harvard-affiliated hospitals.

Danielle McMahan
John Wiley & Sons, Inc. [HOBOKEN, N.J.] (NYSE: JWA, JWB) announced Danielle McMahan as the company’s new Chief People Officer. McMahan most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for York Risk. Prior to joining York Risk, McMahan served in a wide range of human resources, leadership development, talent management and employee engagement senior roles at American Express, ADP and Citibank. She began her career in corporate training and development at Goldman Sachs.
BeyondSpring Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: BYSI) announced that the Company has appointed Gregg Russo as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Most recently Russo served as Head of Human Resources at Chugai Pharma USA, a Roche company. Additionally, Mr. Russo played a critical lead role at Daiichi Sankyo where he was the founding head of the human resources function. Prior to Chugai, Mr. Russo served as Business Development Partner at ExxPharma Therapeutics LLC and Human Resource Lead at Neostem.

Erica Wolff
Fringe Benefit Group [AUSTIN, Texas] announced that Erica A. Wolff has joined the company as vice president of human resources (HR). Wolff joined Fringe Benefit Group from Pitney Bowes in Austin. She spent 16 years at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin hotel, most recently as Director – Human Resources & Training. She also previously held director level HR and/or accounting positions at Easter Seals-Central Texas, The Driskill Hotel, The Mansion on Turtle Creek, and ZuZu Incorporated.
Albireo Pharma, Inc. [BOSTON] (NASDAQ: ALBO) announced that Michelle Graham has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer. Graham comes to Albireo from TESARO, Inc. where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to TESARO, Graham spent three years as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Parexel International Corporation. Earlier in her career, she held senior human resources and organizational development leadership positions in the health and medicine industries, including at Integer, Bausch + Lomb and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Virtual, Inc. [WAKEFIELD, Mass.] announced the addition of Bonnie J. Bystrek as the company’s first chief people officer (CPO). Most recently, Bystrek served as a vice president of Human Resources at Steward Health Care. Before joining Steward, she was part of the Global Exchange senior leadership Fintech team at State Street as vice president of Human Resources. Prior to State Street, Bystrek worked for the Tower Group Companies, as vice president of Human Resources.
ThetaRay [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Moran Goldwein to the position of SVP, Human Resources, based out of ThetaRay’s Israel office. Goldwein has 12 years of HR experience, having begun her career in 2007 as a recruiter for Adam Milo. In 2009, she joined software company Conduit, where she held various roles before being named VP Human Resources in early 2015. After Conduit spun off its toolbar business and changed its name to Como, Goldwein served as Como’s VP Human Resources until joining ThetaRay in September 2019.
Great Panther Mining Limited [VANCOUVER] (NYSE American: GPL; TSX: GPR) announced the appointment of Lucie Gagnon as Vice President, People & Culture. Gagnon joined Great Panther in April 2019 as Director of Human Resources. She brings over 15 years of human resources experience focused in the finance and mining industry.
