CentraCare Health [St. Cloud, Minn.] announced that Joseph Kalkman will join as vice president and chief human resources officer, effective January 22, 2018. Since 2015, Kalkman has served as vice president of Talent Management for Anthem, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. Previously, he held senior human resources leadership positions at Twin Cities-based Best Buy and Delta Airlines. Kalkman began his career at Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. [MIAMI] (NYSE: RCL) announced that Laura B. Miller has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Miller joins Royal Caribbean with more than 25 years of experience implementing human resources strategies for leading companies including ADT Corporation, Coca-Cola and Raytheon Company. Miller most recently served as SVP and chief human resources officer for ADT Corporation. Prior to that, Miller was the chief human resources officer for Coca-Cola Refreshments, a subsidiary of the Coca-Cola Company.
Integer Holdings Corporation [FRISCO, Texas] (NYSE: ITGR) announced that Kirk Thor joined the Company as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Thor joins Integer from Flowserve Corporation where he served as Vice President of Global Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness. He has over 25 years of human resources experience across numerous industries, including leadership roles at JC Penney, Centex Corporation, Disney World, National Data Corporation and the Army Research Institute. Kjirsten Mickesh, who served as Interim CHRO during the transition, will continue in her role as Vice President of Talent and Organization Effectiveness.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. [GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.] (NASDAQ: RRGB) announced the appointment of Beverly Carmichael as executive vice president, chief people, culture and resource officer. Ms. Carmichael has more than 25 years of leadership experience in multiple industries. Prior to joining the Red Robin team, she most recently served as senior vice president and chief people officer for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. She has also previously served in a variety of human resources and legal roles at some of the nation’s most high-profile brands, including Southwest Airlines and Ticketmaster.
Kaleido Biosciences [BEDFORD, Mass.] announced the appointment of Wendy Arnold as senior vice president of human resources. Ms. Arnold brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources to Kaleido. Most recently, Ms. Arnold was head of the HR business partnership function at Moderna Therapeutics. Prior to that, she was at Celgene Avilomics Research (formerly Avila Therapeutics). She also held senior HR positions at Inotek Pharmaceuticals and Amylin Pharmaceuticals.
