XCOM [San Diego, California] named Tamar Elkeles as Chief Human Resources Officer. Tamar was recently Chief Talent Executive for Atlantic Bridge Capital. Previously she was the Chief People Officer for Quixey. Prior to those roles, Tamar had a nearly 25 year tenure as a senior HR executive at Qualcomm, including 17 years as their Chief Learning Officer. Tamar is also a member of the Board of Directors for GP Strategies.
BlueCrest [DANBURY, CT] announced the appointment of Mimi Wood as chief human resources officer (CHRO). Wood joins BlueCrest after having served in senior roles at MasterCard, Entegris, Beth Abraham Health Services, National Westminster Bank and Macy’s.
March of Dimes [ARLINGTON, Va.] announced the appointment of Darlene Slaughter as Chief People Officer. Prior to March of Dimes, Slaughter was Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at United Way Worldwide. Slaughter held the same title at Fannie Mae. She also worked at Linkage.
Avnet [PHOENIX] (NASDAQ: AVT) announced that MaryAnn Miller, senior vice president, chief human resources officer and global marketing & communications, has been promoted to chief administrative officer. Ken Arnold, vice president of human resources for the Americas, has been promoted to senior vice president and chief people officer. Arnold has been with Avnet for 21 years.
