Sun Life Financial Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: SLF, NYSE: SLF) announced the appointment of Helena Pagano as Executive Vice-President, Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer. Prior to joining Sun Life, she held several senior roles in financial services. Helena succeeds Carrie Blair who announced her retirement from Sun Life earlier this year.

Kate Threewitts
G&S Business Communications [NEW YORK] (G&S) announced that Kate Threewitts, based in the agency’s Raleigh, N.C., office, has been promoted to senior vice president, human resources. Previously, Threewitts held the title of vice president. Threewitts oversees the firm’s human resources function, a role she has held since joining in 2014. Threewitts has 20 years of experience in executive counsel, performance management, and employee relations and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
Compeat [AUSTIN, TEXAS] announced Carol Dunnigan as SVP, People & Culture. Prior to joining Compeat, Dunnigan served most recently as Vice President, People & Culture for Revionics. Before joining Revionics, she held the position of VP, Human Resources for Tilera. Dunnigan spent the majority of her career at Motorola’s Semiconductor Sector where she held a variety of positions in human resources, including an overseas assignment in East Kilbride, Scotland.
Level Access [VIENNA, VA.] announced the appointments of Colleen Wood as chief people officer. Wood previously served as the chief people officer of startup Bambeco and was formerly the senior vice president of human resources at LivingSocial. Wood also held several HR leadership roles at the Attachmate Group, NetIQ Corporation, and Ganymede Software.

Bob Thumith
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville [EDWARDSVILLE, ILLINOIS] has named Robert “Bob” Thumith as its new director of Human Resources. Thumith will assume his responsibilities on Friday, July 6. Thumith’s experience spans private and public, multi-state and international sectors, as he has worked for organizations such as Honeywell International, Rexam PLC, GKN Aerospace, Patriot Coal, and most recently St. Louis Community College. Thumith replaces Sherrie Senkfor, who retired in May after 10 years of service.
