McDonald’s Corporation [CHICAGO, IL] (NYSE: MCD) announced that Heidi Capozzi was named the company’s Executive Vice President and Global Chief People Officer. Capozzi will start on April 13, 2020. Capozzi most recently served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Boeing Company. Capozzi previously served as Boeing’s Vice President of Talent & Leadership. She held prior positions as director of Human Resources for the Airplane Programs division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and director of Human Resources for the Surveillance and Engagement division of Boeing Military Aircraft.
Boeing [CHICAGO] (NYSE: BA) announced that Heidi Capozzi, senior vice president of Human Resources, will depart the company in early April to pursue another opportunity. Following an orderly transition, Wendy Livingston, currently vice president, Corporate Human Resources, will replace Capozzi on an interim basis. Previously, Livingston he oversaw Talent & Leadership, and led Human Resources for Commercial Aviation Services, a division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Livingston joined Boeing in 1995 as a business and planning analyst at what was then McDonnell Douglas.
Brown & Brown, Inc. [DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.] (NYSE: BRO) announced the appointment of Julie Turpin as the new Chief People Officer. Most recently, Turpin served as the CEO for the Advocator Group, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc. Prior to that, she was with GCG Risk Management Consultants, as Principal and Head of Operations, and with Marsh USA, as SVP and Head of Operations for Marsh of the Midwest Zone.
Provident Bank [Iselin, NJ] announced that Carolyn Powell has joined the bank as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Human Resources, with Conduent. Powell has also held senior leadership roles with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of N.J., Dun & Bradstreet, and ADP.
Thrive Earlier Detection Corp. [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] announced that Semi Trotto has been promoted to chief people officer. Semi Trotto is a member of Thrive’s founding management team. She most recently served as senior vice president and head of human resources at Thrive. Before joining Thrive, Trotto held leadership positions in human resources at Editas Medicine, Baxalta and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Balbix Inc. [SAN JOSE, Calif.] announced the addition of Shelly Morales as the company’s new Vice President of People. Morales has extensive experience with multiple technology companies including Quantenna Communications, Cadence Design Systems, Atlassian, LinkedIn, Juniper Networks and webMethods.
WorkBoard [REDWOOD CITY, Calif.] announced that Stuart Crabb is the new Chief People Officer. Crabb joined Facebook as global head of learning. In the mid-2000s, he was global head of talent development at Yahoo. He also founded and operated Oxegen Consulting.
Paladina Health [DENVER] announced the appointment of Allison Velez as Chief People Officer. Most recently, Velez was Head of Human Capital at OptumCare in Denver, a division of UnitedHealth Group. She was previously Chief People Officer at DaVita Medical Group and Vice President of People Services & Talent for DaVita Healthcare Partners.
