Northeastern University [BOSTON] hired Michele Grazulis to serve as the university’s vice president and chief human resources officer. While working at Xerox in Rochester, New York, she moved from sales to human resources, resulting in her 2012 move to Unity Health System as senior vice president of human resources.
Rapid Micro Biosystems [LOWELL, MA] announced the appointment of Victoria Vezina as Chief Human Resources Officer. She has held positions such as Chief People Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, Vice President of Talent Management and Development with SimpliSafe, Skyworks Solutions, and ThermoFisher Scientific, respectively.
Outreach [SEATTLE] announced hiring Leslie Pendergrast to the new role of Chief People Officer. Pendergrast has held numerous senior human resources leadership positions including Code42, Datalogix, Sourcefire, and Citrix Systems.
Evelo Biosciences, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: EVLO) announced the appointment of Julie Carretero as Chief People Officer. Carretero joins Evelo from FXI Corporation, where she served as Chief Human Resources Officer since 2018. Prior to FXI, Carretero served in roles of increasing responsibility at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, most recently as Human Resources Lead for the Cardiovascular Business Unit.
Meow Wolf [SANTA FE, NM] hired Erin Hirsch as the company’s chief people officer. Hirsch was most recently vice president of human resources at DFS Group Limited in Hawaii. Before that, she served as chief human resources officer at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She also was chief of people services at Goodwill Services of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties in Califorinia. Earlier in her career, Hirsch was vice president of human resources at R. Torre & Co. Hirsch replaces Marianne Palacios, vice president of human resources, who retired from the company last fall.
Asklepios BioPharmaceutical, Inc. (AskBio) [RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC] announced that Kellie Sears has been appointed to its executive team as Chief Human Resources Officer. Sears recently served as SVP & Interim Chief Human Resources Officer at Allergan from July 2019 until May 2020 when AbbVie completed its acquisition of the company. Previously, she served as Allergan’s VP, Human Resources Operations since 2014. She also held various HR roles from 2012 through 2014 with Forest Laboratories prior to its acquisition by Allergan. She joined Forest Laboratories from Pfizer, where she spent 13 years in a variety of roles, including leading its Global HR Shared Services function. Previously, her career was focused in financial roles at various companies including Monsanto, Clark Refining & Marketing, and Corporate Express.
DailyPay [NEW YORK] announced that Irene Hendricks has been named Chief People Officer. Before joining DailyPay, Hendricks held Human Resources leadership roles within world-class organizations, including American Express, General Electric, Citi, Mastercard and Guardian Life.
Slack Technologies, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] (NYSE: WORK) announced the appointment of Nadia Rawlinson to its Executive Team as Slack’s Chief People Officer. Former Senior Vice President of People Robby Kwok has been named Chief of Staff to the CEO. Rawlinson most recently served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Live Nation Entertainment. Prior to Live Nation, Rawlinson worked in Silicon Valley, leading and co-leading human resources teams for Rakuten USA and Groupon, respectively.
Liquidity Services [BETHESDA, MD] (NASDAQ: LQDT) announced the appointment of Novelette Murray as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). She will succeed Mike Lutz in his role as Vice President, Human Resources, effective at the end of the current fiscal year after which Lutz will serve as a senior advisor to the Company on a consulting basis. Novelette joined Liquidity Services in 2010 and most recently served as Vice President, HR Operations.
2U, Inc. [LANHAM, MD] (NASDAQ: TWOU) announced the promotion of Margaret Ruvoldt to Chief People Officer. First joining 2U as Executive Vice President of Human Resources in 2010, Ruvoldt has held a series of critical operational roles across the company and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Business Operations.
OneOncology [NASHVILLE, TN] added Janice Baker as Chief Human Resources Officer. Baker was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Envision Healthcare since 2019 and served in human resources roles at Envision since 2011. Previously, she was the Human Resources Director for Accuray. In addition to her healthcare experience, Baker worked in human resources for Flextronics and HSBC.
Fastly, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] (NYSE: FSLY) announced the appointment of Doniel Sutton as the company’s Chief People Officer. Sutton most recently was Senior Vice President of People at PayPal. Prior to PayPal, she served in a variety of senior HR leadership positions with Prudential Financial, Bank of America Corporation, and Honeywell International.
Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: VYGR) announced the appointment of Michelle Quinn Smith as Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to joining Voyager, Smith was Senior Director of Human Resources at Flagship Pioneering. Prior to Flagship, she was Global Director of Human Resources-R&D for Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Takeda, Smith held positions of increasing responsibility in human resources for Genzyme (later Sanofi), leaving Sanofi as the Global Head of Human Resources for Development-R&D.
Zego [SAN DIEGO] announced the appointment of Katie Burgoon as Chief Human Resources Officer. Burgoon brings over 16 years of experience in HR, including as Head of People for Cameo and Citadel Securities and five years as EVP, Head of Global Human Resources for Trading Technologies.
